Growing Community Resilience Through Food

Our food and agriculture system is facing pressurefrom ongoing, major world disruptions to climate shifts, to policy changes. But these challenges also open the door to change. With bold action and community support, farmers, food businesses, and local food economies can not only adapt—they can lead the way forward.

That’s why we launched the Resilience Campaign—a new initiative:

Bridging Gaps by keeping essential programs and food businesses running when public funding is uncertain and sustaining efforts that put healthy food on tables and support local farmers.

Investing in Innovation by fueling small-scale investments that improve food logistics, expand farm-to-market connections, and strengthen how we measure local food’s impact.

Powering Systems Change by supporting policy work and grassroots partnerships that improve how resources flow and help communities shape stronger, more connected food systems.

The Resilience Campaign is more than a fund—it’s a call to action. Explore stories from the field, hear why this moment matters from our CEO, and join us at special events to gather, learn, and lead together.

With your partnership, we can grow a food system that nourishes communities, strengthens local economies, and supports those who feed us all.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO

At Fair Food Network, we believe that when we start with food, everything else becomes possible.

Food is a powerful connector—and a practical solution. It supports well-being, drives local economies, and helps communities navigate disruption. In moments of uncertainty, it’s clear: Resilience starts with how we grow, share, and invest in food.

But true progress means building a future where people don’t have to be resilient just to get by—because the systems around them are strong, supportive, and built to serve everyone. That’s the future we’re working toward.

Read on to hear from our CEO, Kate Krauss, about why this moment matters—and how, together, we can shape a stronger, more vibrant food system that supports us all.

With gratitude,

Kate Krauss
